A Marian Hymn Inspired by Blessed Patriarch Elias Peter Hoayek
Gridiamo Maria — “Let Us Cry Out: Mary”
As part of this week’s spiritual commemoration of Blessed Patriarch Elias Peter Hoayek, we invite you to listen to Gridiamo Maria, an Italian Marian hymn performed by Gracia Maria and Father André Mahanna, presented with English subtitles.
The hymn draws upon the Marian faith and words associated with Patriarch Hoayek, whose profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary accompanied him throughout his life. As Patriarch, he crowned that devotion through the establishment of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon at Harissa, entrusting Lebanon and its people to the maternal protection of the Mother of God.
May this hymn become our prayer for Lebanon, for the Church, for the persecuted, and for every family seeking refuge beneath the mantle of the Virgin Mary.
