[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Apostolate of Our Lady of Hope/St. Rafka Mission of Hope and Mercy is holding its annual Christmas Food and Gift Drive from December 15, 2019 to January 6, 2020 (www.missionofhopeandmercy.org). Proceeds will support the Annual Christmas Banquet at the Chaldean Church in Beirut, Lebanon on December 14, 2019 (livestream video at our Facebook page), where 4,500 families will receive Christmas dinner and a concert and 2,500 children will receive Christmas gifts.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Learn More and Donate” color=”success” size=”lg” align=”center” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-gift” add_icon=”true” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fmissionofhopeandmercy.org%2Fchristmas|title:Christmas||”][vc_column_text]Additionally, the drive will provide a one-month supply of food and hygiene items for 200 families through Maronite, Chaldean, and Syriac Churches in Lebanon, emergency medical insurance coverage for 100 families at the Our Lady of Hope Medical Center in Beirut, Christmas meals and gifts for children at Bird’s Nest Armenian orphanage in Byblos, Lebanon on January 6th, 2020, Christmas meals and gifts for 5 Lebanese families sponsored annually by the Mission through school tuition for their children, and Christmas gifts for children at the orphanage of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and the Ephraimites Sisters in Harissa, Lebanon.
The kick off for the drive will be a Christmas concert with Michael Russell O’Brien at 11:30 AM on December 15, 2019 at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church, 2301 Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80214 where attendees will stand in solidarity and spiritual unity with Christians in the Middle East.
